Tonbridge & Malling Local Plan Consultation - Open

The Local Plan is one of the most important documents the Borough Council has and it sets out where new housing will be built and what supporting infrastructure is needed up to 2040.

It also sets out Climate Change and Environmental targets.

Current national government guidance indicates that TMBC must build nearly 16,000 houses in the Borough between 2021 and 2040 and to do this TMBC has put out a call for sites and have had 300 sites submitted so far. None of these sites will be committed to the Local Plan until after this consultation is complete.

There are many difficult choices to be made and TMBC want as many consultees as possible to take part, so all residents and businesses are encouraged to get involved.
