Ditton Twinning Association - Visit by Les Marcheurs, May 2008

A group of 35 "Marcheurs" visited us at Ditton for the weekend of 17 and 18 May 2008. (For a newspaper report which appeared in the Rang-du-Fliers local paper, please click here. Opens in format ).

The photo above shows everyone outside Papa's restaurant having enjoyed an English Breakfast.

We then waved them off, complete with picnic, for a trip to Rochester on the Sunday which was much better weather.

They first arrived for breakfast on Saturday and went out in appalling weather for a 3 hour walk in the afternoon, led by a very brave Mr Nigel Ward and his friend Ray, to whom we are extremely grateful.

After a hot shower our Guests joined us for an evening meal at The Old Rectory in Leybourne. On Sunday (a much better day) they were entertained at Papa's Restaurant for an English breakfast.

Afterwards, everyone has said how much they enjoyed themselves, despite the weather, so we were pleased that the Les Marcheurs visit and our efforts met with widespread approval.
