The French town of Rang du Fliers is located on the Côte d'Opale (the Opal Coast), 6 Km from the beach of Berck sur Mer, in the Montreuil sur Mer area.
Rang-du-Fliers is a tourist focused town and has 3800 inhabitants with seven camping sites, two hotels, several B&Bs and restaurants, numerous shops, as well as the Bagatelle theme park. Its footpaths and byways for pedestrians and bicycles are a delight for all those who enjoy the peace and quiet of natural surroundings.

DITTON TWINNING ASSOCIATION -- Planned Activities, March 2013 onwards
Following the February 2013 and previous meetings of the Twinning Association Committee, the following events are planned:-
a) Ways and means of growing the contacts between Ditton and Rang young people were to be explored, including possible pen-friends.
b) An Indoor Bowls Match is to be played in Rang-du-Fliers and dates in April and May 2013 suggested: we are awaiting a response and agreement on the date. This is a Short Mat Bowls Club event, but the TA may be involved.
c) Rang-du-Fliers Pétanque Club has been contacted dates for a match – ideally in May or September 2013.
d) Another fundraising Quiz Night is being looked into for this Summer.
e) Early arrangements for our representation at Bastille Day Celebrations are in hand.
f) Ditton Minors Football Club are holding a Tournement on 8th and 9th June 2013. An invitation for a team or teams from Rang has been sent.
g) The Oaken Hall is booked for a Boot Fair on 3rd November 2013.
