101 the new national non-emergency Police

Residents in the Kent policing area should now call 101 to contact their local officer, make an enquiry and to report non-urgent crimes. The old non emergency number 01622 690690 is being phased out. For more information please visit http://www.police.uk/101.

Local Police are advising residents to be vigilant as there has been a spate of shed burglaries in Ditton village.

Also, local Crime Figures are now able to be accessed via website www.police.uk by residents.

Community Day - Sunday 25th June 2017

The Parish Council and St Peter’s Church once again are working together for the annual Ditton Community Day which will be held on Sunday 25th  June on the village green and school grounds. We begin with an open air  service on the green at 3-00pm.  In the school grounds there will be free  tea and cake for everyone. For the children a bouncy castle –roundabout – craft tables –face painting and lots more. Please come and join with us and celebrate what it means to be a Community living and working together.  There will also be a jazz band playing on the green and over at the school.

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

THIS YEARS ANNUAL PARISH MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY 24TH APRIL 2017 AT 7.30PM IN THE DON CARMAN HALL..  AS WELL AS THE STATUTORY BUSINESS OF PRESENTING ACCOUNTS AND REPORTS FROM THE COUNCIL, THERE WIL BE TALKS FROM LOCAL ORGANISATIONS PLUS AWARDS WILL BE MADE TO LOCAL PEOPLE FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE VILLAGE.  ANYONE WISHING TO ASK QUESTIONS MUST SUBMIT THEM TO THE PARISH OFFICE 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING.

 

 

PARISH TREE TAGGING

Parish Tree

The Parish's Tree Warden and Grounds Supervisor are currently undertaking a Tree Survey of all trees on Parish land. The targetted trees (those that overhang footpaths and areas where people are likely to walk underneath) will be tagged and monitored for maintenance purposes.
