EXERCISE OF ELECTOR’S RIGHTS

NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the AUDITOR has appointed the Audit of the
Accounts of Ditton Parish Council for the year ended 31st March 2005 to
commence at 9.30am on 10th August 2005 at the offices of Ditton Parish
Council, Kilnbarn Road, Ditton Aylesford, Kent ME20 6QR
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Accounts of the
Parish Council and of their Committees and Officers, duly made up and
balanced, together with all Books, Accounts Deeds, Contracts, Bills, Vouchers,
Receipts and other Documents relating to the Accounts will be deposited
at the Parish Office, Ditton Community Centre, Kilnbarn Road, Ditton,
Aylesford, Kent and available by arrangement with the Clerk, upon reasonable
notice, to any interested persons for inspection for TWENTY working days
before the Audit, and any such person shall be at liberty to make copies
of, or extracts from, the deposited documents without payment. Between
the hours of 9.30am and 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays).
COMMENCING
ON THE 12TH DAY OF JULY 2005
AND ENDING AT SUCH TIME AS THE AUDITOR CERTIFIES THE COMPLETION
OF THE AUDIT
Local Government Electors and their representatives also have:
(i) the opportunity to question the auditor about the accounts. The auditor can be contacted at the address below for this purpose until the audit has been completed
(ii) the right to attend before the auditor and make objections to the accounts or any item in them. Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the Parish Council.
The council’s audit is being conducted under the provisions of the Audit Commission Act 1998, the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2003 and the Code of Audit Practice. The audit is being carried out by:
